At least 100 persons have been arrested since nominations were handed over for the April General Elections in connection with acts of violence, intimidation and for breaking the polls laws, a senior policeman said today.Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) Gamini Navaratne said that the police were also hunting for another 234 persons in all parts of the country in connection for the same offences.
DIG Navaratne who handles the Elections Desk at Police Head Quarters said that the police had so far received some 187 election-related complaints from all sides of the political divide.
