The body of a new born baby which was found floating in the Thalgasgoda ganga in Ambalangoda was recovered by the police late last night. The body was found put inside a polythene bag. The Ambalangoda police have arrested the mother of the infant in connection with the death.The police said they rushed to the scene after the 119 was informed about the incident. The mother who is a resident of the Dhammikapura Tsunami Housing Scheme, had given birth to the infant the same day.
