The 79 year old grand mother of Dannuna Thilakaratne was produced in courts today for allegedly providing accomodation to him when he was under an arrest warrantMs Wimala Thilakaratna had allegedly provided food and lodging to Dannuna in February after the court had issued an arrest warrant on him.

His grandmother was granted Rs. 3,000 cash bail with two sureties of Rs 25,000 each and directed by Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratna. The CID was told to inform courts about the progress of the investigations on March 31.

The CID had obtained the information through a domestic aide who had confirmed that Dannuna had been provided accommodation.

Dannuna who is married to the daughter of Gen (retd) Sarath Fonseka is wanted in connection with the ongoing investigations of purchases to the military through his firm known as Hicorp
