A Chinese woman was killed and four others including the local driver were critically wounded in a head-on collision between two vehicles near the Kandana town earlier today, police said.
They said the Chinese were travelling in a van heading towards Colombo when it was hit by a private passenger bus coming in the opposition direction.
The woman died on the spot while the injured Chinese, all males, and the driver were rushed to the Ragama Teaching Hospital, the police said.
