The Secretary to the Cabinet of Ministers has written to all Secretaries to Ministries directing them to terminate with effect from 30th April 2010, the services of the Consultants/Advisers under their Ministries.
Secretary to the Cabinet S. Abeysinghe in a circular issued today said services of the Consultants/Advisers presently serving in Ministries will not be required beyond 30th April 2010 unless the newly appointed Ministers make an assessment of their appointments for the subjects and functions assigned to the new Ministries,
Accordingly those who have accepted appointments as Consultants/Advisers on secondment basis should be reverted back to the relevant Institution with effect from 01st May 2010.
