The Colombo Fort Magistrate today issued an arrest warrant on the Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) for failing to submit a detailed post mortem report on B. Sivakumar the mentally unstable youth who was allegedly drowned by the police in Bambalapitiya last year.When the case was taken up for hearing, Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne asked the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) to submit the post mortem report, to which the CCD informed court that it had not yet been submitted by the JMO.

The Magistrate then issued a warrant for the JMO for not submitting his report to court on time.
