Dispute over Opp.Leader appointment in CPC

A dispute has arisen regarding the appointment of an Opposition Leader for the Central Province Provincial Council due to infighting within the UNP. 

Many of the UNP members in the Council are opposed to the person who has been named by Opposition Leader Ranil Wickemesinghe to replace Wasantha Aluvihare who as elected to Parliament. 

Mr.Wickremesinghe’s nominee is K.K.Piyadasa but several UNP member of the CPC are opposed to his appointment and met today for a discussion on how they would challenge his appointment.
