The debate on the 18 Amendment to the Constitution is underway in Parliament. Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratna presented the Bill in Parliament for the debate.

The UNP members except those who are supporting the Bill were not present in Parliament this morning.

The Prime Minister said that 16 UNP MPs are slated to vote for the 18 Amendment.
